Buckle up, because I'm about to take you on a whirlwind reflection tour that spans across continents, cultures, and countless cups of tea... Ok fine, and coffee. There, I said it. This journey isn't just about the places I’ve seen or the stages I’ve been fortunate enough to speak on—it's about the heartbeats behind every handshake, the stories behind every smile, and the powerful perspectives that shape our world. Finding Authenticity in Every Corner
From the bustling streets of London to the timeless beauty of Florence, the history-rich Rome, the magic of Orlando, the heart of Ottawa, and the vibrant spirit of Moncton, New Brunswick—I’ve had the privilege to speak and connect with incredible people. Each city has its unique flavour, but what struck me the most was the authenticity that binds us all together...
People: The Real Game-Changers
In every city, it’s the people who make the place. I met local superhero baristas who pour their passion into every cup, entrepreneurs who are crafting their dreams from scratch, and leaders who are redefining what it means to inspire and motivate. Each interaction reminded me that no matter where we are, it's our authentic selves that leave the most lasting impact.
Take Rome, for instance. Amidst the art and history, it was a local café owner’s story about turning his family’s tiny shop into a beloved community hub that resonated with me the most. Angelo (the owner & barista) is 85 years old and has been serving up delicioius espressos and cafe latte's since he was 17 years old! The most amazing part...
At 85, he's still behind the counter making the drinks, welcoming customers, and working the cash register! Like SERIOUSLY?! #Inspiring
It’s personal stories like these that personally fuel my collective drive to be more, do more, and give more, consistently.
Places: More Than Just Backdrops
Every city has its story, and every structure its vibe. Walking through the historic streets of Florence and gazing at the gothic style Duomo cathedral that opened in 1436 and standing up to observe the illustrious black and gold gates at the Buckingham Palace in London, These architectural wonders whispered tales of resilience and triumph, art and beauty, reminding me that the spaces we inhabit are alive with the energy we bring to them.
In Orlando, the backdrop of innovation and imagination was the perfect setting to talk about the power of play in business. It's not just about where you are, but how you engage with your surroundings and your team to create experiences that are both memorable and transformative.
Perspectives: The Lens That Changes Everything
One of the biggest takeaways from this tour has been #ThePOP—The Power of Personality. Whether it's negotiating like a ninja in a bustling market or finding success through mental wellness, it's our unique personalities, skills, talents, experiences and viewpoints that transforms challenges into opportunities and helps us discover a natural and sustainable kind of success.
